I've been asked to make a set of outrigger bases. I don't do a lot of game fishing (yet) so they're not something I've had a lot of experience with.
I've got a good set of photos and dimensions to work with so it shouldn't be too hard. I'll post pics as I progress.
Interested?

Yes, I like the "making stuff" posts you've put up. Therefore it's unanimous.

sounds a good project,im sure u will make something better than these but thought i would show you anyhow, they were made from 14ft kilwells going into stainless tubing to get couple of extra feet  and easy mounting to bases.the bases were made from stainless and stayed bolted to boat during game season, they pretty self explanitry, and the beauty of em is if it was to rough i could lift them up a bit, then bungy them to hardtop for motoring, very cheap to have em made and once to fishing grounds simply untie and down they  go...Thumbs%20Up

Nice looking set of fittings, being that shiny I will have to wear my shades on the briny more often.

Crikey, those tubes are about as straight as the landbase teams competing in the Whangaroa comp at Labour Weekend.
