found out about a workmates fishing mission of the bricks on wednesday before waitangi day he and his mate landed 4 snapper over 20 lb and numerous others between 10 and 19 lb makes the rest of us chasing 20 lb mark look like slackers

Mean, any chance you can get a little report out of him i.e. timeing rough area of the country bait used? any photos?
The 20lb+ Snapper club No Longer Eludes me Broken with a 12kg new PB
Goal for the next 12 months: catch another 20lb+ Snap and watch it swim away
Hook a King LB here in the Naki.

time would have been after 5 till some time around 2 in the morn area along the coast somewhere between whangamata and pauanui where he usually fishes mass loads of berly in the water and salmon baits 
not sure if i can organize photos but it is an impressive photo he has got

Unfortunately its a no go now for us and probably not worth the grief to be honest.Some great ledges close by at CMV that are as good on their day.

Location: just north of papaaroha.

Gaffman: nope


Had kawahai under balloon all day and burley pumping with heaps of baitfish but no kingys around. Thought livey might of had it so reeled it in to check and this guy nailed it at my feet.
Fishing solo so manouvered it into a gut after a good fight and tail grabbed/belly flopped on it.😂
Only my 2nd kingy and both at same spot 4 years apart.
