I need a rod holder for my fly rod. Anyone done this on their yak? I was thinking of something that goes in the exsisting holders. I've found something at fishcity but pretty pricey.
How are you guys attaching sensors? Can they work through the plastic? Worried about smashing them on the rocks. I've got a tempo and was thinking about putting one in one of the scupper holes, anyone done this? Is there an ideal finder people are using?
Ta for all ya help. :0)

Check out the Scotty rodholders at the following web site: http://www.scotty.com/scotty_products.htm
They are available from the Hunting & Fishing NZ stores.
I assume you are talking about depth finder transducers in your question about sensors? These are best glued on the inside of the hull using a strong flexible glue/sealant such as 3M 4200. Ensure no bubbles are created in the process or your sounder won't work! Narrow beam (8 - 12 degree) are best.
