Hey i was just there on Sat ( this weekend )
Got nothing but a bunch of eels eating my berley, bait didnt do nothing neither did my popper, but there was surface action, i saw the bait fish  jumping in large schools, could have been Trev/KY chasing them, or a big kingi that only likes live baits, unfourtunatly i didnt have one out.  Anyway the track is easy, the ledge seems good but no action on the day, and lets keep in mind that the calender said it was poor on Sat so maybe thats why???

Yea i dont really know if I would trust that callednder?
As much as I believe in solar lunar fishing, ie the bite time (Hour before moonrise, Hour after Moonset and during the moon transition) I dont really think that the actual day on the callender has been that accurate.

Cant wait for summer again, so I can get the line wet after work and have enough time for a decent phish!

So to get to Lady Bell point do you follow the track to the monument and then go down from there? I wouldn't mind giving it a go sometime. I tried off Puponga point on Sunday but there was nothing much doing. A nice Gurnard was caught (not by me) but that was it all day. The action was very thin not even a few nibbles, but I guess that's winter on the Manukau.

yea its easy bud, walk 3/4 of the way to the monument and look for a little opening/track on your right, its a little bit hard but you will know once your on it, its a good track compaired to some of the others ive been to. i would say change of light is a good time to fish there, but you wont see me going up and down there in the dark.

This shows the two tracks but lady bell point is kinda between the two, would need some bush bashing to get there

Been there twice before. Years ago, and plan to go back this week.
There is a track to get down there although it's not a proper mapped track, but easily doable, and it is steep but safe if you're fit. If you wanna catch a fish then you gotta do the yards! I wouldn't recommend it in the wet though.

The place keeps you busy with plenty of bites from small snapper. According to the marine charts there is potential there. Plenty of snags.

From the pebble beach, go left as far as you can to the headland. 5-13m of water if you're in the right spot. Potential to catch good fish here if you have the right rig and bait.

I'm yet to prove it though!
