I just bought Soulfish, the DVD
I think its available on trademe.
If you miss out on the bidding, you'll do worse than owning this DVD.

Congrats Finatic, you won't regret the purchase. Top rod!

Was a tough fight. I put a bid in 5 minutes out... Had another bidder come in with something like 30 seconds left on the auction. Was freakin' out! It went on like that a couple of times. Got the ol' heart going, that's for sure.

That's why I prefer Ebay. On Ebay, the closing time is the end of the auction so you can slam a bid in five seconds before the end and that's it. None of the Trade Me auto extend crap - mind you, I guess it's great if you're the seller.  You'll enjoy the Xi2, it's a cracker of a rod.  If I were you I'd now think very seriously about a quality saltwater reel to go with it. A good SW reel with a strong smooth drag and plenty of backing is a must. I'm sure that KTB and the boys would be happy to give you good advice on reel choices.

Yeah Si, well done!!!

I'm going to be in Auckland this week if you want to catch up for a pre clinic cast...

Bloody curious to know who Marinaro is... looks like he's getting most of Mark's other stuff.

That Abel was a steal, if I hadn't just bought Ian's Billy Pate I'd have gone even higher!!! Looks like The Snapper had a go too and missed....

Ok, so Mark... what is all this being replaced with?

Cheers Mudfish, yeah, probably not going to be much of a compliment to such a fine rod if I was to whack a cheapo reel on it. So much for buying something at the cheaper end of the scale to start with eh?EmbarrassedLOL

Sounds like a plan Clark. Depending on when, I'm keen!

I'm with you Mudfish.
I've been sniped a few times on ebay right at the last second but must admit I prefer that to the auto extend version.
Sometimes a bid like that has saved my bacon too...
