That is a very slick looking machine, does the red make it go faster?

For some reason it made him slower and unable to catch a snapper 😂

I’m ashamed to say it... I got skunked. A few mistakes to learn from... 1. Too late. I only paddled out around 8am, and was told the action was from 7-8. 2. Too cold. I under-dressed and was shivering the whole time. Car said 2 degrees... felt about that too. My reward, one skunk.

Yeah better to be overdressed than under.
I ended up overheating even on the way out before 7am

Yeah agree with that ... makes you better next time.... supposedly.  In my case after yesterday more concerned about my hip flexors making walking challenging this morning,  after long afternoon yesterday with lots of paddling in cold challenging conditions, and then hard time pulling my kayak ( on wheels) from low tide mark up back home. Character building I suppose.. but I am feeling too old to build my character any more.

I was told by viking it is a very manly kayak thanks , £. Not a foot ball fan, but might get a warriors sticker for it.
There's an Eastern BOP Kayak Fishing Club meet tomorrow. Boulder car park next to Murphy's motor camp matata straights. Launching at 7am . Anyone welcome

Pretty miserable out there this morning cold pesky south easterly with too fast a drift.
Got dinner just with 3 pannies.

Yep, it was pretty damn cold out there this morning. Super fast drift with a nice chop to paddle into for resetting each drift. Ended up with 3 pannies and a nice Trev. Lost a much better fish on the Tarakihi rig. Still good to get out on the water though.

Down off matata with EBOP club day today

Same conditions as Paps by the sound but I I didn’t find it cold at all

Solid fishing with all getting a feed - I binned out on snaps with 5 late forties and one at 53 - also gurnard and a terakihi

Allpom took out biggest snapper today
