Launched at 5.30am with Dale already out and was pretty slow but ended up with 3 snapper 1@50cm and 2 mid 30s. Also a JD and a 35cm cod. Released a 72cm Kingi.

Met Piwi at spot P at 5:30am, like he said, slow to start with me only getting throw backs, some cod, a perch and plenty of reef hookups. Bit frustrating really, as Piwi was reeling them in.

Went in closer and still nothing to keep to Piwi left and then I picked up 1 @45cm , 1@ 33cm and a 47cm Trev. All on a aliexpress micro jig. Plenty of just legal throwbacks, just keeping the ones I didn't have to measure. Good feed in the end, but had to work for it.

Haha, thought you were enjoying your fishing a little too much..Wink Lucky I tried a micro jig, or a skunking was on the cards.

Nice one Shane, what depth did you get out to?

Beernyarn you can have my photo if you like 😁

December can be tough. Good to get a feed though.

Looks like plenty of snapper coming out of the harbor.

Went out again this evening with a mate in the boat and filled the bin with snaps up to 55cm in the harbour, all on sliders, nothing under 32cm including undersize fish. Great evening

Correct, lost a fish that would have gone 4-5 kilo which was a bugger. If weather holds Thursday morning I may head out off harrisons or the domain if anyone is keen, will see how its looking tomorrow evening.

Got a few goodies in the post yesterday.

New Li-ion battery for the sounder. Way smaller and way lighter, 444g vs 2147 for the lead acid battery. Both are rated 7amps, but the li-ion will give me the full amount, so apparently its equivalent to 14amps in lead acid.

And some new softbaits off aliexpress to try out, got some colours I don't see much here.
