Allpom nice haul of prizes. Looks like a beaut place to kayak.

Swainsnow I once windsurfed around A beacon. It's bigger than it looks!
Good to just be out there even if no fish for you.

I went for an evening fish last night before the bad weather ruins the weekend.
Went with me old mate Phishpulla.
Started slow but was firing around 6pm.

Just incase anyone still uses this forum 😁
Went out Matariki Friday. No surf but a bit windy westerly. Took my son's friend who is reasonably new to yak fishing.
He didn't get any snaps but hooked a few that got off and landed a rat kings. Still had fun out there. I got a limit of snaps with [email protected] cm and 1@56cm

Also went mid week Wed with a mint forecast and a few others going out. The young guy got some snaps this time so was stoked and I got a few too including 1@61cm so a good couple of trips.

We have a good forecast this weekend, tiny surf and light wind, so I'm heading out.

Beauty DT must have been close to 20lb.
I went Saturday with my sons friend. He's 17 and a good fisherman but newish to yak fishing. He ended up getting a pb 58cm snapper and a nice Porae plus a few more snaps and a Trevally. I got a couple of nice Trevs and pannies.

Not to be greedy but I'm going tomorrow 🤪

Been MIA on here for a while, so here’s a few fish from over recent times. Plenty of good fishing over that period with some nice fish. Snapper fishing here seems to be getting better and better

Beaut catches Newbie and good variety.
I finally got a JD today after a drought without one for a while. My nephew also got one. Fishing was very slow today and I only got 2 snapper and the Dory but the snapper were a good size at 55cm and 61cm. My nephew got a 59cm one too. Easy fileting 😁

Finally got the yak underway last weekend off Harrison's Cut and caught nothing. Went out

Sunday off Karewa Pde for a nice pannie and one decent kahawai. Only two bites but produced

two fish for a pleasant change. Plan to try going out the entrance towards A beacon when the

tides are nice enough for me. A light long John helped keep the cold away.

Good to hear from you Swainsnow, will try to get this forum moving again. Last weekend was pretty tough by most accounts excluding Dowtowns haul above which is standard for him 😁

Hi guys,

I went last week end and caught a few but the best part was the 2 orcas poping by. Wasn t too sure what to do, so did mothing, just got the lines out of the water and waited for them to carry on. Hopefully they were not too close. Maybe 50m to 70m..

This morning was fantastic, no wind, and birds every where.

Im looking to find somebody who is keen to fish with me at roger road, never been there , heard a lot about it.

Im based at pap and try to go as often as possible !

That sounds cool with the orcas Bernacle. Today's conditions were immaculate.
There's usually a few at Roger's on days like this. I went down that way today. Struggled for the first couple of hours but came away with 5 snapper mostly 40-45cm. I took my son's friend down and he got a new PB snapper of 66cm.
