Slow going this morning. Met Phishpulla and Richard at 6am. Bumpy east breeze and tricky small dumper wave on the beach. Yak got flipped while I was holding it so I had to reset. Somewhere my cellphone got lost as well.
Anyway got out eventually and picked up a nice 59cm fish. After that lots of undersized stuff. Managed a couple more with one mid 40s. Left Richard and Phish out there.

Was good off paps today. I kept 5 real fatties, and lost a few. Biggus got 4. Went a bit quiet so didn’t push for the limit, elected to watch kids sport instead.

Good fish Piwi and Raymond, found similar sea conditions off the Mount this morning, managed two small snapper.Couldnt turn other bites into hookups, two softbaits got ripped right off the hook and others came up half hanging on,back to drawing board on that.

Quite nice conditions off Paps this morning.

Launched around 9:30 and out to 20m, into them straight away. Mixture of jigs and softbaits.  Kept 6 pannies and a nice Dory. Was nice to get out again after a loooong time off.

Nice Dory Dale. I could have joined you. I went for a longboard down the mount but was pretty small. Loads of birds working in close.

Yeah I thought about texting you. Was a last min trip, I didn't know I could go until 8am. No birds down my way, I was hoping for a workup to chase around. There were plenty of baitfish about.

I'm gonna be heading to Rogers tomorrow for the first time in 3 years or so. Does anyone know how it's been fishing lately or would I be better off just heading off papamoa beach? Also if anyone else is keen company is always welcome.
