Bit of a struggle this morning... I managed 3 snaps, got barracuda too which didn’t claim my slider. A mate got blue cod and JD, also we both saw big kingies. So 5 species out there confirmed. Not exactly crawling with fish.

Nice conditions out this morning. Plenty of boat traffic but managed a decent bag.

A great weekend up the coromandel for the 3 Species soft bait comp. Great company with Darren Nunn, Graeme Duncan, Blair Cameron and an initiation for Luke Bryenton. Sorry for steering you wrong Luke, making you think the second days best snapper was yours. Graeme snuck that and the dollars away just. A shot gun start on Saturday from Sandy bay. Never fished there before. Conditions were windy as. Loads of small fish with a few bigger ones being caught in limited fishable coastline . Second day we went to the same location with much better conditions. Had a fun day fishing getting a good feed. Great weekend thanks Laurie Pottinger and any sponsors for putting the weekend on.
I managed to get the side bet for the snapper of the day with a 63cm snapper on day 1. Blair was the only one to enter all 3 species and came 5th overall. Luke land a solid snapper on day 2 after a hard day 1. Graeme got 💰for biggest day 2 snapper and Darren won a $500 reel for a recorded catch and release of a 10kg kingfish. Smiles all round.

Nah, I was padding around with my kid in his little yak. Kept an eye out but nothing. Did see a Dad and his kid with some fish from the canal on the way home.

Got out on Monday down at my usual. Perfect day with hardly any one else out.
Fishing didn't really pick up until the wind did. Came home with a bin full of solid pannies.
Had a whole octopus, mussels, cray bits and a weird anus looking thing in their guts! I smoked the three biggest heads and had fish pie yummo

Good work Ruff. Contrary to popular belief I've never had anus before 😆

Looking at going Friday with Newbie if any of you are keen.

Its a bad sign when the 1000 page comes up with a photo of Ruff anus 😄

Easy bag limits for me and Newbie this morning all clones 35 to 40cm perfect conditions.
Back on beach at 8am 😁
