Newbie and me saw a whole load of birds sitting on the water today and thought workup then noticed it was about 100 mallard ducks. Would have been a good time to have a shotgun ๐Ÿ˜„

But it was good seeing all the Kayaks out this morning. once in a lifetime. More Kayaks then boats. A bystander on the beach said he counted 73 kayaks, I said better then 73 Boats lol.But please wear life jackets, I seen a few people with none and we are talking 3km out. I thought I was the cheeky guy in the green kayak.
There were alot of kayaks out but I doubt 73. I would say there were 20 vehicles in the carpark. Maybe some had 2 yaks.
I haven't noticed anyone not wearing life jackets but if that's the case it's pretty poor.

Sounds good Piwi. Nice to get a new species and one that tastes so good. I'm looking at next Saturday - roll on level 2.

Had a great little mission with Darren Nunn and Graeme Duncan. Left mid day Friday, fished Wilson's ,coromandel. Caught lots of little ones. Kept a few for a feed. Went onto papa aroha for the night.
Headed off early and fished Granite wharf for the day. Again caught plenty. Nothing big but very entertaining fishing. Had a 15mins of so , which was so hectic, rods bending everywhere. That's when i caught my biggest fish. Awesome conditions. Home by 7pm sat night. Good fun and a great feed out of it. Well worth the effort and fun hanging out with Darren and Graeme
