Went out east today but big dumpers at low tide so back to paps
Dropped what felt like a decent snap then got one to the yak, didn’t have net ready so tried lifting by the trace but it snapped 😔
A few work ups coming thru so had fun with kys for a bit before something hit the softie hard- thought it was a good snap but 10 mins later a decent king popped up - measured out at 82

Hit the water about 9am this morning, paddled out off paps and was pretty much straight into it. Back on beach by 11am, plenty happening out there with a few work ups and dolphins about.

I hate to say it, but I've had good and bad services on various reels from nearly every tackle retail store locally, now I just send mine away, and even then, one of my game reels had to be returned for some adjusting!

Hamills and TopCatch Tauranga along with Decoro all service reels!

I've used Decoro with no problems. I just don't like going over there cause the traffic sucks.

Out off domain this morning, launched at around 8. Conditions as Scotty said, not that great. Tried in the 6-8m mark but only picked up a couple of ky’s. Went out to 12-13m and much more action. Really good sign but hard to stay on the mark due to conditions. Pocked up4 snaps I. The mid 40’s the statue drifting in. Picked up another couple I the low 30’s in about 8m then pulled the pin as chop breaking over the boat. All caught on pink and white gulp curly tails today. Dropped a fair few today as well, so good times out there at moment.

Beautiful conditions fishing with Cam today. Maybe too nice no drift or current and was pretty slow even over good sign. Got a feed of pannies and a nice Trev and lost 2 good fish.
