Great morning at the office.   Launched from Harrison’s Cut at daylight and had my snapper limit an hour later; nothing over 450mm.  Zman, New Penny paddle tails on brown Fathom jigheads working best. Spent the rest of the morning trying to target other species – with not much success.

I’ve been playing around on the CNC machine at work & made this inlayed plaque for my man cave – timber inlay kwila in ash wood. ‘Life in the Cast Lane’ stolen from the Eagles.

Well I didn't shoot out today due to family stuff but I'm hoping next weekend should be good otherwise wont be for another month! The comp over the weekend looked pretty damn good though!

I got 1/4oz 3/0 jigs with some Lime Tiger and Sapphire shine 5" Jerk Shads. Went with a bright and darker colour. Seem about right?

Moken easy for you nice job. That artwork looks amazing. The Eagles are cool.

Scottie i use 1/2 oz as I fish alot in 20m. If you are less than 1km out with ok drift 1/4 will be ok. Next weekend looks like surf but it may change. Pays to have a selection and to be able to retie on the water.

went up to the softbait comp in tutukaka with allpom this weekend.
Thought was on for a good day with fish on first cast then a 50 cm on the second but then nothing apart from leatherjackets until another pannie just before coming in so pretty slow day in all for most anglers overall.
Some good fish measured in with Wayne (castnet)taking out individual snapper at 720 mm with the three combined snaps going 2150 mm so three good fish.
Well run comp as per and raised $3200 for coastguard with fish being auctioned off.
Weather looking pretty good for Wednesday so looking to go east for the morning before it turns crap looking at the forecast.
