Dropshots are good, was testing some line last night, got to 1kilo of drag pressure and my 2.4had a real good bend in it...

I usually set my drag to 30 - 50% of the lowest line weight on the rod, just to be safe.

Different rods dont always match up with whats written as their line weights however so you might want to grab your scales and test your rod/rods out, is good fun as its surprising how little drag poundage is required to get a good bend in a rog eh, some rods I thought were real tough dont actually test that well.

Best of luck with the SPs, once your onto your methods they bloody good fun eh.
