Haven't been on here for a while, super busy with work. Been out a few times but not as regular as i have been over the last few years. Hoping to get out a bit more over winter.

Epic day out yesterday. Last day under the old allowable catch limits so went to Whakatane to see if we could max out and go out in style. Three limits of snapper (21 fish) pretty quickly, then out for tarakihi. Ended up with over 50 plus a couple of kingies. Great eating but a big job processing them

My mate's son in law got his first kingi so was a great trip for him

**** that's alot of fish, hope big family or you got lots of mates!!!!!!! With 4 of us on a day out 20 fish total would almost be to much, 70 odd is just a crazy amount of fish

Wow awsome mixed bag there Reiver, big day out obviously. You guys have a great fishery at Whakatane and lots of good weather with all the southeasters this year.
Did you get the Kingi on a livey or jig ?
