I think 'Clank' is referring to the strut which supports the end of the propeller shaft on an inboard-engined boat/launch/cabin cruiser?
He mentions motoring from a marina and that it may need a 'haul out' so I guess it is usually moored in a marina and must be a decent size to have a Port (and therefore probably) a Starboard shaft.
If it was the shaft bearing in an outboard leg/strut it would be fairly easy to assess.
So I think he's saying he can hear a noise in the support strut bearing on the prop shaft at the far end out near the prop.
That's how I'm reading it, anyway. (I may be wrong.)
Clank - It's not usual, but not unheard of for new bearings to fail early in life.
You should probably get it looked at before any significant damage does occur to avoid increasing the expense.
'Noises' usually only get worse and rarely fix themselves.
It might just be something simple like some line wrapped around the shaft?
Plus, you don't want to be breaking-down out on the water. (Coastguard membership up to date?)
News today, of a boat flipping on the Raglan bar after the motor failed.

Can you get someone wearing goggles to pop under at the marina for a quick look first?
