Yep it's on did you miss the memo.

If you haven't been watching and observing conditions, you've been asleep.

So, there's plenty of gamefish out there including there breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Great for those who can travel or who live in accessible gamefish corridors.
For the rest of us who are border challenged.
Be prepared... for the 15th start gun.

Have fun, don't drop your rubbish in the water.
Be organised, so your not the muppet or arse at the ramp.
And make sure you don't need coastguard to save your butt unless ....

Expect pics and stories on this forum from epic adventures.

Remember, facebookers don't give a **** about you.
The fishing forum does.

Just cruising in my now sweetas pimped out Southern 755 HT0!

Simon - I am guessing a La Nina season will be good for you weather wise in the Naki. Lots of E winds.
Not so good for us in HB - rubbish summer usually, lots of cool easterly off the sea and choppy sea every day. But our water temps are up right now - 17.5 a few days ago. Last yr I think we hit 20 max.
A big sthly blow (next day or two) will knock them back a bit, but here is hoping.

Hi Alan.
Easterlys off the taranaki coast are generally the better sea conditions. That said they are rare compared to winds from other directions. As far as game fishing goes the old guys from the New Plymouth club have a saying that west is best. The westerly once over 10 knots will cause very average sea conditions but it pushes the warmer blue water straight into the north Taranaki coast and the game fish with it.We have 20 degree water off New plymouth now.Could be shaping up to be a cracker.

Hi Guys, not my boat. One of my mates that came with me to the Naki last yr.
We beach launch in HB and he found his 6.5m a bit much of a handful. So traded down to a smaller 5.5. But it is a one-off White Pointer.
They don't build anything smaller than around 7.5m. So lots of problems to solve - it took 18 mths.
I can't believe what they fitted in it. As well as the above it has an anchor winch, Minkota and cray pot winch. The finish on it is outstanding. Looking foward to taking it for a run.
But right now I dont think the skipper wants any blood in the boat.
We will fix that :-)
