Huge tragedy...I guess the contributing factors will come out in good time.
Assuming they were wearing life jackets though, generally, people who drown sink.
you can't fix an idiot with duct tape, but it does muffle them for a while...

Conditions where pretty good out there, smaller tides, swell wind etc.
 And quite a bit of traffic to step in and pick up.
Hard to say what happened to put them in the water, let along once in.
 As Dave says "contributing factors will come out in good time."

Sad for the families, even more if it is all a single  covid lockdown bubble.

Yes it is sad. Conditions were good when we came back in but that was at low tide. No doubt things changed after that

Saw interveiw on three news tonight with Guys who went back out to help. Clearly said Life Jackets were floating in water near bye tradgedy. If so wot the hell are they doing on a bar without them on...

Been wondering if it is the washing machine bowl area inside the bar ???
We dont seem to hit it going from the sth side of the harbour, but launch from the nth side seems go thru the middle of it ??? maybe.

If so wot the hell are they doing on a bar without them on...

 or even near ...
