So OK.
I was booked to go pike fishing in Queenstown in May.
Booked some time during December with Air NZ.
Then some dick-head opened up the BUBBLE.
Zap!, my flights are now either rescheduled or cancelled altogether.

So I'm not going to Queenstown now. Even though they are desperate for my dosh.

So much for promoting domestic tourism.

Just saying.
(I wasn't really going pike fishing, just keeping to a theme)

Were you actually going to Queenstown? When did your flight get rescheduled for?

Be interesting to hear their justification.
you can't fix an idiot with duct tape, but it does muffle them for a while...

Yeap, Bay of Islands to Queeenstown via Auckland. Scheduled flight cancelled, alternative meant another 4hours stop at Auckland.
Return to Auckland from Queenstown re-scheduled a couple hours earlier meaning another 4 hours in Auckland.
No reason offered.

Add another 1.5hrs on phone to find this out, and paying extra for the original flights, not much impressed.

I'm guessing they needed the Boeing for Trans-tasman. Would be the same type of planes that do the tasman and Akl/Qtown I am guessing.
Short notice to bring more on line.
Just guessing.
But it would be hard running an airline right now. But it doesn't make it any better at your end.
I have heard the pike fishing there is not flash anyway.
