Winds up a bit tomorrow. I think another win to UK and maybe a win for American Magic if Dean has a good start. We will see...

Bejesus that last mark rounding by American Magic went pear shaped quickly.  You could see as they approached the mark that things weren't right.  Good to hear all crew are OK however the same can't be said for the boat.  I'm thinking they may be struggling from here on.

I'm honestly disappointed that we will have lost a strong competitor for the cup.

They will probably not make an appearance till the semis.

We will all miss out on their participation.

Hmm they are saying a back stay was not slackened off. The leech of the sail fouled on the not slackened stay and could not be eased enough to take the power out of the sail. SPLASH! All happens pretty quick..

at 0.55 hull appears intact at 0.58 you can see battery leads poking through hull...

Interesting

Well racing continues but no American magic. The whole preliminary racing has just turned in to a fast.

After the two live races, there will be 'ghost races' which also need to take place in order to comply with the competition's regulations.

The ghost races will be 'against' New York Yacht Club American Magic to allow the regatta director to award the point to the relevant other competitor.

They will consist of a pre-start sequence and an official start by INEOS TEAM UK and Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli respectively, before being suspended just a few minutes after commencing.

My guess is yes however I believe they will struggle to beat the Italians.  Luna Rosa looked good on Saturday and the result could well have been different had some of their rounding of the marks been tidier.

Yeah. I think they said they intend to practice Wed and Thur. Said they have made changes to the boat which will make it go faster.

We shall see. (The proof of the pudding is in the eating).
