Does anyone have a new kiwi kraft boat 6m plus. Doesn’t seem to be a lot of discussion on them but have been told extremely good. After anyone’s actual experience in the rough stuff.

I have a 585 Hard top and have been out in most of the range. They perform really well in nasty conditions. I have come home in some very average seas and the boat was very predictable and reasonably soft riding. Very stable I fish out of Mana, Wellington.

A friend recently purchased a 740 Hardtop with a V8 merc. He fishes out of Napier and travels big distances. He is very impressed.

Some ppl will comment a bit -ve on a partualar hull , other will give a thumbs up for the same hull.
The difference is how well powered it is.
The difference between even the min powered and mid range powered of a planing hull is huge, espec if hit a wake, bit chop or on a bar..
And the difference between mid range power and max rated power is even greater.

So it is very hard to make a call on a hull as such.

It would be interesting to hear how they perform against Stabicrafts and Profile.  Must not be alot of the new models around.
A Good Skipper Keeps the water on the outside of the boat.

I used to own a 620 Senator (similar to profile) and been out in an 1850 Stabi Hard Top several times.

Whilst these other brands have many positives, IMO the Kiwi kraft just seems to be a bit better in most areas.
