It was predicted there would be a community outbreak early August and we would go back into lockdown.....this came from those in the shiny hats.

Don't know where the claim of 4 new cases is coming from.  There are none today (July 31).

And now two comfirmed cases on flights from auckland to sydney. One earlier this month, another just over a week ago.
Latest case said she wanted a test in N.Z but was declined due to shortage of testing kits. Not a good look.
They kept this quiet. Clearly there is community spread here.

Arm the military guards and shoot a few of them as they do their runner,
That will change their mind about leaving managed isolation

The actual RT-PCR test's used here in NZ are highly accurate. However there is all sorts of variables that might influence accuracy e.g. swabbing method. If no viral material is picked up in the swab then the test of course wont detect anything.

Whoa there Toyz, this thread is for bitching and moaning, facts and informative posts (like yours) have no place here...... please dont suggest NZ is doing very well in terms of elimninating any community transmission.

I'm still laughing about the closure and deep cleaning of that did court in Silvia Park, 2 WEEKS after the escape had been there...2 WEEKS!!!
Hello?, And this virus lasts this long outside of a host.

I'm pretty sure the Silvia park cleaning was due to the south Korean case, the escape cases were in Hamilton.

But today in the news a person landing here tested negative after the first test, then positive on the second,so either he had the virus but not enough viral load to register a positive,or he was infected in the facility.

And also, the CDC admitted it has been adding cases to the count without proper verification.. IE: you die of a heart attack but are positive with no symptoms, you have covid as cause of death put on your death cert.

We had what, something like 1000-1100 active cases of covid at one point a few months back.
1000+ cases - people that actually had it, that were allowed to isolate in their own home. I bet every single person followed the rules....
Now we're imprisoning people against their will in managed facilities because there's a chance they could possibly have covid.
These aren't even people that necessarily have covid and more than 99.9% of them wont test positive for it....

We had 3 active cases on the 11th of may and we were still in level 3. We went from level 3 to level 2 on the 13th of may.
A month later we went to level 1 after waiting for the "1 remaining case" to recover.
We currently have 27 active cases yet we are in level 1.

Being played is an understatement.

Yeah. Did a bit more digging and found out that most Covid testers are 100% accurate for positive tests (when you have it) when tested in laboratory conditions. However testing in the field brings in errors. The testers are less accurate however for negative tests (when you haven't got it) when false positive readings may occur.

The test process works on replicating the virus DNA. If it ain't there in the swab the answer is -ve. But that could be for 2 reasons - the swab simply never picked it up, or... you never had the virus. The sampling process is the problem. It does not always reside in the nasal passage. The primary infection point is the lungs. So you can have infected people wandering around with -ve tests. Our first recorded case - symptomatic/hospitalised returned 2 -ve tests before a +ve. The +ves can't be wrong. But the -ves can be.

The difference here is they are all in quarantine. Not even managed isolation - but quarantine. Not in the community.

Ah neither are allowed to leave...
Call it whatever you want.....
1 to 3 cases = level 2 to 3.
27 cases = level 1
1000 cases = isolate yourself at home.
27 cases= lock and key facility.
Dunno how my point about inconsistency is really that hard to grasp..
