Yep.......still mega queues at 9am so drove on to next wee ramp 5 minutes up the road. Back at ramp at 3.30pm - 2 boats waiting so 5 minutes and we were on the trailer. Had to chuckle as we passed Waikawau heading south. At 4 pm we counted 68 boats waiting to come out; by conservative my reckoning about 70-90 minutes.
At what stage do the committee running Waikawau do one of two things:
   - limit numbers.
   - invest in new facilities.
I think most people would be happy to see an increase in ramp fees to begin to manage the issue. A 20 minute wait is acceptable.......an hour and a half is a joke.

Kawakawa Bay was the same yesterday.
Ended up using the public ramp as the queue to go our the club ramp was right down the road.

Coming in there was easily an hour wait of boats sitting to go in. Zipped round to the public ramp and only couple of minutes wait.

Hi Bricker. What’s the next ramp like i.e. is it usable at low tide?
