I’m about to fit some lights on a smallish tinny.

After views on pros vs cons of metal vs plastic housing port/starboard LED lights.
(For fitting on an aluminum boat)

Go with plastic leds,metal you need plastic backing plates,a ali i got out on has plastic leds and used a plastic bolts,been on there a couple years no issues.

Cheers, that’s what I am leaning towards, good call on the plastic bolts.
My only hesitation is long term sun exposure and whether the plastic housing will crack.

They are cheap.. get 5/ 10yrs before crack...if they will.

Picked up some easterner black housed plastic led’s, any idea where to get 4mm plastic bolts, nuts and washers?
