Nice work MS. Were there birds on the tuna or just blind strikes. Giving it a nudge tomorrow, trying to target YFT.

Cold Green water trapped inside the 200m line behind the knights has not moved in the last week (keeping the bait in that area) . we landed a Marlin in it last week along with a boat close by. Later in the day several YFT landed in 210 a little south.  The fish are definitely not eating the blue water at the moment WackoLOL

Thanks muppetshow.

Had a great day out with mate Geoff and his son Andrew.
We made some right calls.
Others dubious.
The v was alive and sedate water, the north end of Knights was lumpy and alive.
The return to toots was ****e.

We saw flying fish.
A good number of explosions. Sunfish and a shark in there. We caught skippies and albies. We found a concentrated patch of albies.
Know of two Marlin hooked and dropped, another landed a trailer seen and chased by two boats.

You'ld think from what I said you'd rush up here.

Honestly, very quiet really. Don't bust a gut to get up here. Genuinely not worth it yet.

Well if you hadn't made your way up then you would of missed out.

If you looked at the weather you would of seen that Today was good weather, moon in the right place, tides great, temps great although wide in conjunction with the blue water.

So if you looked at the opportunity and ignored my previous post above you should be have a great day.

As a fisherman you would of seen the actual opportunity.

Though toots car park would of been a nightmare with the emporium comp on.

There was a stack of life up there.
The first seven ks out of toots was full of flying fish, and lots of bird flocks.
The first zone we went to was full of albies and skippies. There were a number of birds.
This zone we saw a number of explosions of some size which we were unable to identify. This zone also showed good bait sign and in this general area there were two stripes caught.

So Al yes.

Took a moon shot at the same time from Whangamumu.

Ran lures for 9 hrs today off toots for zip zero zilch
However watched a man battle a monster of a yellowfin tuna I think
in 230m east of the knights left him to it as he was making no progress for a long time in fact it was gaining string on him not vice versa hope he landed it as may be the best for the year it was a whopper show stopper at least 5 feet could be more didn't think
they grew that big anymore.

Fished out of bland bay yesterday.
Went straight out and through the "v" . Very quite, water temp 19 degrees so headed down to the knights. Water temp picked up to 20.3 north of the knights and picked up an albacore. That was it for the rest of the day so stopped for a deep drop on the way home and picked up a good gem fish for dinner. Beautiful day on the water though,
