Hi Iain
Do you know for sure that it can be changed over as all those I have seen for sale state they are either a LH or RH model ?

I have a Fenwick saltwater fly reel & spent ages on trying to figure out how to change over until finally finding out it could not in fact be done.

I brought a FlyLab Exo reel & a Rio 5/6 line today & before spooling it
the salesperson asked if I wanted LH or RH.

I wanted the latter but it was configured LH so he took it to a work bench & worked on it for 10 mins or more returning with it converted.

I have since tried to figure out what had to be done to swap but came to the conclusion it probably involved changing over the drag ... an exercise too complex to attempt riverside or could even be a  tad tricky at a work bench.

With your Abu Iain probably best to take it to a reputable repair shop & ask what is involved in changing over ... if they say can't be done then at least you know. However if they say it can be done ask for an estimate then decide if 20 bucks or thereabouts is better than risking DIY & losing a screw or small component as is likely to happen to you or myself.

Actually on at least two occasions when attempting a DIY reel repair have had a couple of bits left over after reassembly & surprisingly they have still worked perfectly leaving you wondering what function they performed ... if any.

I’m not absolutely sure but looking at the schematic my guess would be to try reversing part# 59063. Really just a guess though.
