Maybe once upon a time that would be ok ,but in today's environment you could be asking for trouble ?
As previously stated maybe a sign at these hot spots might remind all of the current rules and ethics of fishing .
No body wants to argue but just to have a fair go at catching a fish.
To much agro in todays world I think

Good bit of rain coming through over the next few days, look forward to getting out for a flick at some point on Saturday. Won't bother with the pipe, I would say the regulars have been camped up there from yesterday in anticipation Smile

I am staying at Rotoma this weekend - any suggestions on spots I should try?

I've never fished Rotoma much, but nearby the shoreline at Kennedy Bay Lake Rotoehu worth a look with a floating line, or off the boat ramp jetty. Fishing is generally fairly easy there. Further round at Rotoiti anywhere down the Hinehopu shoreline should hold fish in the rain, Ruato Bay also. Okataina main beach also. Good luck!
