ok, bought a sec hand boat a year back and this lowrance unit came with it, only been using the sonar until now.

The last two trips have had the charts on as well but they dont auto scroll/ move with the boat travel ? I have to zoom out, move the curser up slightly ahead, then scroll back in. Annoying.

I have the manual it says " Chart - Consists of map that moves in real-time as the vessel moves."

been through every damn setting on the unit and cant find an option to get the damn map to move.

Anyone with the same unit have any ideas ?

I had a elite 5 till upgrading not long ago.. like u just used it for sounder..
It had the Cmap card in it.
That was selected in the settings over the basic "lowrance" map.
That may make a difference???
From memory in settings  there is the nth up/ direction up and the direction arrow thingy....and also move with boat setting.

If not , note all your sounder settings, and do a factory reset..

ok, thanks. Tried a reset then took it out on the lake to make sure it was going ok.
Yep ,now moving with the boat.

Man, just the first week on jan and already lake karapiro is a foul brown colour and rotting weed making it like a peat swamp lake. Gonna be bad once it hits feb.

Sweet.. that the re set worked out fine.. had to do that a couple times on my old unit.. well dunno if had to..
So often over the yrs , computers , phone etc, they go weirld them can spend hrs chasing ones butt, to end up reloading / re setting whatever..
Now its easier and far less time consuming simply back up any data,  to re set/ reload  then re config, and/or run a good backup.
