With Stevo not feeling well on one of our far North fishing days the call was made for me to head out on a solo - with a late start I decided to head to one of our spot X's to fish a couple hours on the incoming.
With the tide and wind heading in the same direction I set the berley in hope the fish would be at our spot, we've caught some nice fish from here over the years and have had some epic days with different species being caught.
A couple times this spot has been on fire with fish after fish after fish being hooked and released with nice Snaps to 70cms in the mix.
Everything was looking good - I had the berley pumping as I had brought along 4-5 to really get it going and the fish in a frenzy. It didn't take long for the first bites to start then 30 mins in it was all go - this is when you can only fish with one rod and in hand ready for that hit.
Even though on a solo I couldn't resist a few hoots and hollers - it's always great to share days like this with a mate but also sometimes its nice to have a quiet epic solo sesh and in the North to add to that epic-ness....
I spent a good 3-4hrs at my spot and it was awesome to see it still produce in large numbers - being only in 8mtrs it was great to release a lot of healthy fish and choose what to keep.
Out of the 30-40 fish I caught they were all over 40-45cm and up to about 60cm, it's amazing to fish a spot that holds no small fish and with 5 solid ones in the bin I called it a day and got Stevo to drive back to pick up.
Another awesome day on the water in the North going solo
