Maunganui Bay temporary closure to be in force Sunday 14 October 2018


Dear Fishers,

This email is to advise that a temporary fishing closure at Maunganui Bay to the take of any species of fish, aquatic life, or seaweed (except kina) will come into effect on Sunday, 14 October 2018.

A map of the closed area is below, and can also be found on the Fisheries New Zealand website, here. A link to the Gazette notice regarding the closure will appear on the same website page in due course.
Fisheries New Zealand has arranged for a public notice, notifying the closure, to be placed in the New Zealand Herald on Friday 12 October 2018, and in the Northern Advocate on Saturday 13 October 2018.
Please pass this information on to anyone who may be interested.

Confusing.

It also said this...

Revocation of this notice

This notice is revoked on the close of 13 October 2018.


Is this a new closure or an extension?
