There will also be a party held each night to that could rage on until bedtime at 8 pm. & for those who may be able to remember, the chance to talk about the fish caught that day.

Ant this humor is what they will be missing out on.
I am surprised that you didnt fit adult nappies somewhere in there as well Bazza

That appears in the small print mate under "terms & conditions"
along with a clause that applicants need to sign, stating that in the event of their demise they can be hung over the side as berley.

Sorry mate but as much as your company would be enjoyed on any trip I fear your age would exclude your inclusion on a Benner Fisheries Charter trip.

All applicants will need to verify proof of age by passing an oral test with questions such as :-

Ratings at the bottom.

1. Finger dial phones

2. Milk bars with juke boxes

3.Home milk delivery in glass bottles

4. Party lines on the telephone

5. Newsreels before the movie

6. TV test patterns that came on at night after the last show and were there until TV shows started again in the morning. (There were only 2 channels [if you were fortunate])
7.Peashooters

8. 33 rpm records

9. 45 RPM records

10. Hi-fi's

11. Metal ice trays with lever

12. Blue flashbulb
 13. Cork popguns

14. Wash tub wringers

If you remembered 0-3 = You’re still young
If you remembered 3-6 = u are getting older
If you remembered 7-10 = Don't tell your age
If you remembered 11-14 You're older than dirt!

mate, 13 here (never saw a juke box in a milk bar) and I'm a youngster at62, I think you'll need to refine your criteria to exclude the likes of me and Barrie!

Thanx for your interest Barrie & SC but unfortunately at this stage you are both outside of the age restriction.

The good news tho is that forming a "Little Nippers" division is currently under consideration.

You will know when you qualify to apply for the Benna Fisheries trips when you have a birthday & the candles cost more than the cake.

Reckon you must have cheated then Al by asking your grand dad or suchlike the answers, therefore regret to have to inform you that you have been disqualified !

Sorry mate, but you could always join the other two hopefuls, namely Barrie & SaltyC in the afore mentioned "Nippers" division.

Hows about manual dash board choke knobs that some women used to hang their handbags on when fully pulled out then wondered why the motor ran rough & was using so much fuel.

I think I am going to stop contributing on this thread as it is just making me feel way older than I actually am, which is old enough already!

So far I remember all of Bazzas' "old timer" things and I'm 'only' 54!!
We never had a party line phone though due to my fathers' job, but remember being told off for answering the phone at other peoples houses before the ring "code" was completed... LOL

To be old and wise you must first be young and stupid.
