Hi all,

Heading on a tramp over new years and planning on staying at roaring stag hut. Anyone got any stories or advice on fly fishing up there?

Just wondering how you got on up at Roaring stag?? been looking at heading there myself for a while now but still havn't ticked it off. Is it worth it?? good numbers and size of fish? cheers, dave

Saw 5-6 fish all around 3-7lb. If I were any good, maybe I could have caught some. The water was very clear and the surrounds were amazing. I preferred the walk upstream. Around the corner once and then the next bend was where I spent aaages watching a few nice fish and trying everything to hook them, but not quite getting there.
