I currently have a Shimano 200DHSV on a nice 4-6kg rod, which I am really happy with. I am looking for a baitcaster reel to set up on a 6-8kg rig that gives a bit more drag than the 200 (4.8kg Maxed Measured). Prefer something around 7-8kg Max as I will run it at 4-5kg. I am not up to date with the lastest and greatest. Budget around $400. Any suggestions?

Shimano ocea Calcutta 300hg.
I just bought my son of these and seriously thinking about getting myself one now- it is a gorgeous bit of kit.
Only issue would be either forking out a bit more cash or doing as I did and buying offshore. $305US with free freight.
Boat Name- Solace
