The locals have gps marks, lures and bait available, some are providing on board live coverage and guides that will gauantee you fish as well.

Thks Mattoo but I'm south of the cape.

Trying to get one down here for the sheer hell of it !
I don't give a fuk if it doesn't have a dorsal and has 50 tags in it - is blind from sunlight, looks a bit scabby and can hardly swim.
I'll lasso it and lie like a priest and say what a hell of a fight we had !

Just trying to eliminate a few variables. lol

Brilliant robbosaur, that was a crack up response, because I have felt the same way on occasions.
Humour, one of the many tonics of life.

I'm still laughing.

Hmmm. We were at the knuckle  before Blackwatch got up there. Went around a large solid baitball, 30m and perfectly round for awhile. There was something different happening there and had a feeling when they called a hook-up. Looks like the fish might get a rest for a bit.

They r taking everything from tiny little tuna lures through to big lures like joe yee super plungers , saw a cool homemade wooden lure with vinal skirts that's been getting a few too.
bring plenty of lures and ya rigging kit as its not unusual to go through a full spread of 5 lures in a arvo due to captures and Bill rash damage .

cheers Angler.

I went out today - perfect condns down here. Fuknfuk all. No Albies - no birds no fuk all.
Not even a kahawai work up - it's been like that this year. Just fu kall.

You ******* should park up for the rest of the season and let some through - then some poor old blind sick thing might be unlucky enough to swim down here.

I'm gonna have to come up there. Sick of getting an arse kicking.

Paul had the footage at the club - was one deep stocky solid fish with short dorsal and one would definitely have to assume Black, shame it was not landed but was not ideal conditions to be out there either.

Still some fish here Dave, I went out yesterday to the hook, only one knockdown and a billrashed lure to show for our efforts. not many boats out so not a good guage, its a big ocean.. Boys in there bigger craft were having pack attacks and plenty of action at the nipple and between there and the knuckle. Chris on reef spirit has been having a blinder he,s being getting amongst it with some doubles and Ken on Waikeori is slaying them too. In saying that my mate boated a 102 kg tailwrapped in 95mtrs inside the hook today and app some caught off oakura in close. it seems they are everywhere. Water is fantastic 23 degs
