Nice A.C....and another way to hang rods like that from a garage ceiling, I found,is to use the downpipe type pvc brackets, and cut one end off the smaller 50m/m dia.ones, about 20m/m back from a screw hole, enough to get the rod in and out, but safely hold them in place. These just screw up, using the one remaining hole.                                 For the butt end brackets,I used the 80m/m size, and just screws up like they are........end result  looks much as AC's above..... and I also have these along the garage walls, about every 2nd stud,(depending on the rod lengths,of course).....same cutting of the 50m/m ones.....and you can place them above each other at about 6" spacings, allowing the reels to sit in place, without touching the rod above or below. Idea may help someone out.....cheers  Jim

I've also used the PVC drainpipe bracket solution as explained by Shimma. Garage roof coverd in them - easy, cheap and works well.

Nice work - Is that alloy or stainless and what thickness?  I might just have to knock one up.
