Rules of the Fishing.Net Forum Pin Fish Section
Submitting Pin Fish Entries.
Do not send fish entries by courier. If you wish to send fish in, please ask your wife or girlfriend to pop in with the fish on ice in a chilly bin and to bring her best cooking apron.
Entering fish.
Submit your entry to the pin fish section by email to bender (
[email protected]) or kerren.Proof of weight
Some form of proof will have to be provided, as we all know how enthusiastic fishermen can be. Weights must be accurate to at least one decimal place.
Game Fish
The same proof offered to game fish clubs for tag and release purposes is acceptable, as are weighmasters certificates or photos of the fish hanging at the weigh station.
Sport/bottom fish
Any official contest weight report/receipt, or photocopy, of official documents are acceptable proof.
For private entries the onus of proof is on the weigher and the minimum proof accepted will be as follows:-
The fish must be weighed on decent scales and a photo of the fish being weighed with the weight clearly visible, must be submitted with the entry.
Remember there are a number of sets of accurate scales out there such as gas station lpg scales, scales from any retail shop or establishment, which are generally certified. These people will often let you throw a big fish on to weigh. Remember to include a photo of the fish and scale reading.
As this is an online pin section, we cannot officially check the weight of the fish. We have to rely on the accuracy of your scales and your own honesty in recording and reporting the weight.
Any persons found exaggerating fish weights will be excluded from being part of the pinfish section, and will have to buy several rounds at future forum social events. A cowpat, signifying a tendency to exaggerate, may be attached to your profile in place of any stars.
The pinfish holder will have the name and the fish weight recorded in the relevant section of the Trophy cabinet. They will be able to use the relevant fish pin as part of their profile signature on the section.
They will be allowed to boast mightily at forum events. Being awarded a pin does not absolve people from buying rounds at forum gatherings.
This section will be administered by the pin fish section administrator and the forum admin and their decisions will be final.
Any appeals must be accompanied by several large bottles of rum and an invitation to go fishing with the appellant.
well done Bender....you certainly have thought of everything.
Bender,
While I know you are the self confessed greatest Granddaddy Hapuka Killer of all time. should the lkilling of reef fish be encouraged ? or were these put on the list for the benifit of the spero's and not just so you could win a pin ?
Seeing as its just starting I think any weight of fish will be the first winner and from there it becomes a competition to get the biggest.....
Labour weekends gonna be a mighty busy weekend by the sound of it...
Tobes - start from scratch. I have therefore claimed every prize until Labour weekend....
Bushpig, you are not allowed on this forum. Try www.corrugatedironownersclub.com
Tubby,
Grand daddies- really mate, as abhorent as us dirty murdering ******* are, grandaddys are below even us. Mind you, I would hate to think of the amount of morays that have fallen victim to the idiot stick. Or wrasses, or red pigs, or hiwi hiwi, or maori chief.........need I go on?
long john.... it so happens that I have personally been responsible for the catching of more grandaddy hapuku than any other person on the planet. From real big ones that would have gone 5 or 6kg, down to the smallest, half inch version (on an 8/0 hook). There was one summer up north they were about all I caught.
This is a record of which I am very proud. Knock not this fine sport fish. When they open their mouths on the way up, well, they can almost put a bend in your rod.
Let it be known, however, that I have never tasted its sweet white flesh. Not like some other heathens on this site.
Have they pricked you in return Bender? I know one of the buggers did for me. That ruddy hurt that did.
Chris

Grounded - I have always kept them at a respectful distance. Grab the hook with a pair of pliers and roll it out of their mouth.
If I killed every GH I'd caught they'd be on the United Nations endangered species list.
and for those that cant get the facts right........ Bender will attach this to your profile........

Given Billfishes "truth" and Benbers out right lies. Attach them now
Hahahahahahaha fantastic Eric.
heres a few for our overseas travelers and visitors to our fishing site......
more can be made for the likes of Bonefish, Bass, longtoms, Queenfish you name it im sure we can do it......

no.... but if we ever get to make them for real then i guess something like this is what we will end up with.......
making the moulds is no problem its making the masters for the mould that costs money so im just trying to get a grip on the handle sort of thing......
