Ok now that IS a tricky one for me because I am not a big fish specialist . Personally I wouldn't have a sinker running on braid if targeting big fish. My choice would be 37kg braid to swivel, swivel to  mono ( a little lighter than the braid and trace because you dont want a fish towing around a sinker for a death sentence) & swivel between heavy mono (1metre or so) and 80 to 120lb trace. Have the sinker between the two swivels and cushion it with a soft bead either side. Alternatively fish it on the surface doing away with the sinker. Any one else feel free to offer your advice. 

depending  if you are rock fishing , surfcasting or boat  fishing, if rock fishing dont bother with sinker, actually any  style dont bother.re braid i use braid with all styles and use at least 20m of heavy mono trace.With  surf casting you can get the swivels for live baiting fom the shore(non return clips i think) which are great for getting kahawai out through the surf.Off the boat or kayak or rocks i just hook up the livie with a balloon ,Braid is great for extra strength and you know you can give it a bit more grunt.Make sure you have at least 80lb leader for the livie, dont attach it to the braid.

for deep water fishing i use 37kg braid with a windon leader,on the end a ball bearing swivel  and a egg sinker.The trace is 3 mtrs of 130pd bm hard trace ,this gives about 10mtrs of mono on the end of the braid.Hooking the fish you have to be a bit gentler,when you get a bite let the fish run a few mtrs then slowly push drag to strike and lift rod loading it up,if you hit the fish hard with an agressive strike you will pull the hook due to no line stretch..it took a while to get used to but its working better for me personally than mono

use a rubber band to hold the sinker on. sometimes you get them back and sometimes you dont
