Went to try again yesterday but a very messy 3.5 mtr sea so didn't bother as it is to hard to keep lines tight.

I bet it is. Are the Condor drones good? A workmate was asking about them but I have no knowledge on drones.

Im loving it, ive got two batteries and getting use to the drone helps with the battery length ie:time
Ive done a doz trips out over the water to 600mtrs on 24kg line and 2x 3oz sinkers and 3 hooks. Avg about 350mtr for me, have another set up on penn 9/0 and 34kg but no level wind and plays havoc with my arthritis! Electric reel is next haha

Tried again this morning but this time I got a snag, first time ever with kite fishing or the drone, lost everything ie: 3xtraces plus sinkers and hook setup but packed a sad then went to work to pay for a replacement. Oh well.
Boring reports of my demise perhaps
