Anyone have experience with these?. It's time to replace my leaf springs, was looking for galv but most on offer are "dacromet finish. Any feedback appreciated.

I purchased single leaf for my previous previous trailer and was told that Galvanising was not recommended as it changes the spring steel.

Just checked my leafs(yes its dark) Yes they have just been painted and its a new trailer,

 Springs are normally available painted, but galvanised leaves and also proprietary corrosion coatings are also available. Just remember that leaf springs are designed to slide against each other and wear between the leaves is inevitable and unpreventable. Galvanised springs, due to the nature of the heat treatment process may be slightly weaker overall and loose their camber quicker than painted springs.

I'm sure that Trojan sell galvanised springs including multi and single leaf.

I've had my boat trailer springs zinc sprayed in the past, after surface rust started and found that to be really good.  The process doesn't use heat so doesnt affect the tensile strength of the steel. It worked really well.  Use a little chassis grease between the leaves when reassembling.

I put single leaf galv on my previous trailer and they were brilliant but they were only 1000kg, I need 1500 for this one.
