Heading to Thames for Easter so taking the boat too. Just wondering how the farms are doing at the moment out of Waikawau?
Any particular depth working best & what bait(s) are doing the damage? Any info much appreciated.
Cheers

Farms are fishing well...
Charters to fish by Reuben Jack, Joint Venture & Legionaire II....these skippers known where the fish are...
Harvesters would avoid as they will have a whole heap of boats crowding them or fish further back in their berley (slick)...
Baits hard to go past the yellow tails(jack macks).. Pilly's..
strayline set up...Some v gd snaps this time of year... mid size jack good for a livey to catch JD's, Kings or even a good snap...

Zmans are working wonders, be using Atomic Sunrise & Motor Oil for a few months 1/2oz jigheads to 5/8... drop down let current carry them back along the bottom.....
got some good size snaps on them to 16lb...

surprised the baby sharks havn't shown yet

good luck, weather looking good so far...

Yeah second that - fishing very well and has been for a long time. My mate had engine trouble at the ramp so we just putted at 4knots to the first string possible from ramp and tied on. Limited out in an hour just stupid fishing. Sort of put me off a bit as there was no skill needed and a lot of filleting. 4 hours driving towing boat and one hour fishing...fish were good size and condition.

Guess there could be worse complaints I guess:-)

PS turns out issue with motor power pack limiting speed.
