Plenty of small crays around the inner islands but you need a measure... water was nice and clear and the water wasnt too cold after the first cold spear went down the back. My reg was playing you and the borrowed gear didnt have a temp guage so cant tell you what is was. My first dive for 9 months.

Thats a fair while out of the water Barrie. Was going to have a dive after a fish at Motiti but was overcast with the water temp only around 15 degrees down this way. Not really very inviting.

I doupt that it would have been 15 there mate
but needed to get the gear wet to try it out

3.00 pm and I was having a beer at the PC mate
I normally leave before 12noon when Im comming home in order to miss the traffic on holliday weekends... Will be up there again in about 3 weeks though
