I need to add my bit to the thread. Thanks Teezer for the Cray.

I was in an exercise with Coastguard today, I took the cray along and shared it with the Lads from Canterbury Coastguard!
So pleased you guys had a good day, Gutted I missed it, but Paintball was good in the afternoon!

Nice!  That really was shallow wasn't it, and loads around - brilliant stuff.  When I first saw them I couldn't quite believe it as I've been diving Kaiks for over a year now and never seen hide nor hair of them.

Looking forward to doing them some more damage next weekend Big smile

Just got the bbq on to have a feed - love it.

Morning all.  I'm headed up to Kaiks this avo, and will be up there till Sun avo.  Plan on a splash this evening, then to get in, and stay in, the wet stuff for as long as possible each day.  If anyone fancies catching up for a dive then drop us a text - 0212 440365

Yeah - will jump in first light, then back to the tent for brekkie, then check the phone to see who's about and on from there.  Sounds like the top conditions are gonna make it a ChCh to Kaiks spearo migration tomorrow, so early is deffo better I reckon.  Plan on peninsula first off, then back to last week's blue cod spot mid morning as will have some newbs with me and paua were in 2m or so there so plenty for them to get on with.  Will be in blue mazda 3, so where ever it's parked I won't be too far away.  See you up there.

cool cool, we'll be in a white stationwagon with Jacks written on the side of it Smile
Will probably be south of the peninsula, I haven't dived the southern coast there for a while and it's always nice to visit the favourite bays.

fd3s, cheers for a great day!
For everyone else, here is a quick rundown.
Pomahaka, fd3s, and a couple of others met at my place at 0545 this morning.
A nice drive to Kaikoura followed, then we managed to fid teezer coming back from the seal sanctuary with afew blue cod.
I wont talk about fd3s's mate getting a blowout and having no spare tyre...

He was whinging about the vis, but being a pom he cannot help this. HOWEVER the sea was a bit milky so we went back to a bay between the tunnels.

On the way we saw RJack, Vernon and Ryan suiting up and had a quick chat to them then left them to it.

Between us we got some good feeds of paua, butterfish and pomahaka got some good crays

Thanks for a great day team!

was pretty hard work out there today. vern had smashed his mask within minutes of entering the water, and took off to kaikoura for a replacement. Ryan and I nailed butterfish for a while until the swell got the better of us, then exited for filleting, and later we jumped back in for crays / paua. a productive day, but hard to get excited about the conditions. looked to be better further south.
