Have been looking at a couple of reviews online of this ute. Looks quite interesting. Yes the tow rating is only 2.5 ton but it
should  cope with the average 6m boat quite happily. 800km range. No doubt would go down a lot depending on load.
It seems to nullify the issue of range by using a small petrol engine as a generator. And being able to smoke those pesky Raptor drivers at the lights  (0-100 in 5.8 secs) is a real plus. Especially being about 25k cheaper too. Your guys thoughts.

Ha ha ha LOL 0 -100 in 5.8 secs, thats only relevant if its with the (6m ) boat in tow.
I guess on the face of it  seems quite good  and 800km range sure does do away with one of my EV beefs , but Im still stuck on the limited charging stations and how long it takes to charge. And the technology  concerns me with technicians charging $100+ per hour  if it goes wrong  , where as with my present vehicles I can do all the repairs and maintenance myself .
When we move to nuclear powered vehicles peeps like me will be saying the same things about EV'sSmile
I wish I was young again .... Id be heaps smarter than this time

I agree with Smudge. Some of the Chinese vehicle brands have suffered massively with long term reliability. Also some couldn't even supply parts. I talked with one dealer who stopped supplying one brand because he couldn't fix any that broke down.

Expect the range when towing to be reduced by over half. I would be surprised if you achieve even half the range. Which is fine if you only tow 20km.

and they're fugly.... Not that there are many good looking utes out there, because there isn't
