Ok, I admit I have left it way too late to start, but after day 1 I am in love with fishing. 
The equipment I have already is:-
Rod
Spinner (Reel) 
Net
Lures
Cool box
Club

Question is, what other bits should I get?

I could do with any tips or tricks for a new starter

It's all very dependent on where you are in the country, species targeted and whether you have a boat or not. Tell us more.

Yep MB is right, depends where you're fishing and what you're fishing for. Also, boat or shore based. I'm sure we can help you Andy. And welcome to the forums.
