Good to get out with you Mark. Pretty slow but I got a couple of trevally with a big 57cm one first cast.

Yeah water temperatures have gone back down. Last year we had 20c water from early December.
The free papamoa comp is on next weekend hopefully see you guys there.

I'll be at the comp.

Took my boy fishing off the wharf yesterday, got taken to the cleaners by a big trev. Lot of bait fish wave riding the currents around the bridge etc

Swell forecast is pretty bad for next weekend but probably too far out to be accurate yet.

Yeah, looks more like a weekend for surfing. Do they run the comp in the harbour or flag it? I cant find any info about it online, prob on facebook.

Hes big enough, prob too big to go on my kid pod now. Just never really likes being out in the deep water.

If ever we’re to push our limits it’s probably when a lot of us are around. Safety in numbers? Either that or it’s a bigger mess if lots of us need to get help. At least the water is warm. Not sure if the fish will show up but there will have been no pressure on them over the past week!
