Our next Raising the Bar seminar is scheduled as follows:

Date: Wed 25 September
Time: 7:00 pm until approx 8:30 pm
Location: Auckland Marine Rescue Centre, 3 Solent Street, Mechanics Bay, Auckland.
Bars being covered: Manukau and Port Waikato

What are these all about?:

These informative seminars are presented by specialists in the following areas:
  • Trip planning
  • Vessel preperation
  • Communication protocols
  • Local area knowledge
These seminars are NOT designed to provide inexperienced boaties with all they need to know to start tackling bars. However for those with the experience or who are currently crossing it, the information here and the opportunity to ask questions is a valuable opportunity.

You need to book a place but there's no cost to attend - a donation would be nice.

I attended the last one of these seminars and it was excellent! An absolute must for anyone thinking about some West Coast action who isn't familiar with these bars as they aren't places to be messed with.
