I paddled out a few kms today, it was a stunning morning, the charm of fishing in the morning for me is less about hungry fish and more about how stunningly beautiful it is every time...but after paddling for 45mins I remembered where in the shed I had left my knife, but I figured I could fish without a knife...and then a guy arrived in his tinny with a Yamaha 15 and motored around me in circles for 45mins catching Macs, God it was a relief when he motored off, the peace and tranquility of the yak is the beauty of it.
I targeted large snapper and JDs today, with live Macs and large baits, however nothing touched that rod all day, but I did catch dinner on the other rod:)
The fish were all euthanized with a small wooden fish shaped chopping board, which I made at woodwork at Glenfield intermediate in 1977, I was getting rather good at wielding this mere, by the end of the session I was hardly hitting my fingers at all.
