they cause most of the economic disasters like the cheep Oil we have now so they can screw Russia,
in the meantime Yanks are getting sick of giving their life for some piss poor war so now they want others countries like NZ/Aussie to fight for them,
i tell you people are sick to death of watching the rich cream it off the poor, the middle class is just about all been sucked dry when this happens you will see a uprising before long...
its gone from 10% rich to close to 3% when its 1% the world will not tolerate it..

Are you shure America have lowered price of oil to screw Russia ?
I thought it was a joint effort by all involved due to a over supply.
America has lost in that one, a friend in the Canadian oil industry recently told me there were 1600 small oil rigs that were turned off as it was un economical to run them, and in the states the number was over 17,000 rigs deemed un productive and a huge amount of lost jobs in the recovery and exploratory to boot.

not from what ive read Wayne,

The U.S. is pumping the most oil in more than three decades, helped by a shale boom that has unlocked supplies from formations including the Eagle Ford in South Texas and the Bakken in North Dakota. The U.S. will be self-sufficient in oil by the 2030s while North America will become a net energy exporter this year, according to BP.

The Energy Information Administration forecast that U.S. production will increase to 9.3 million barrels a day this year, the most since 1972. Crude stockpiles were 417.9 million barrels as of Feb. 6, the most in EIA weekly data beginning in 1982.

Thanks for everything you did for us Eric. may you rest in peace, You were one of the real legends of NZ recreational fishing

So what happened to peak oil they were talking about a few years ago.

Oil was supposed to have run out by now.

This is not a new thing ,in 2012 gas dropped to a point where it was no worth extracting.
A small oil well needs $85 a barrel to break even,it hit $82 a wee while ago and that was the end of a lot of producers
However it Seems extracting oil from shale is the most cost effective with some fields registering up to 12 new operations in February this year

I was of the understanding that legislation exists at a Federal level in the USA,that prohibits the export of crude  hydrocarbons from US.Strategic reserves and all.
I think LNG infrastructure is being built on the US Eastern Sea Board.
So a partial repeal of the legislation must have quietly been agreed to years ago for said development to proceed.
Lefty USA haters all over the Western world must be furious that American energy independence muscle is increasing.
To add to it`s military, financial and diplomatic muscle.
Western Europe is in a hurry to have a new gas supplier.
That Russian nut job has already restricted supply  during 2 winters to W Europe.
Even that upstart China will pull it`s head in.
Glad NZ is tight with the only superpower.
The energy transformation is yet another classic example of private enterprise making a solution.
To be sure the Feds will step in and run it more efficiently for everyone(not).
They sure know how to reinvent themselves in the USA.
Peace.Via superior firepower..
