God save us from Winston....but I say that as long as the greens never get anywhere near a sniff of power. Come to that, God forbid the newly hard left Labour Party doesn't either really....if a labour/NZ first government is formed, then we will be looking at nz first to keep the looney left in check!
For nats, I would like Collins to be pm, she was framed and beat up by the lefties when she crashed last year or whenever it was, and she would get stuck into the opposition for sure. However, she is too polarising I think, too many fell for the lefty spin that brought her down last time, so I would go for Mr "grey" Coleman.....with Collins as a deputy. Keep English as finance minister.
But whoever national chooses, pleeeeease, let them win the election! We sure as hell do not want the looney left getting their hands on the purse strings!
It is only my overwhelming natural humility that mars my perfection.

Grumpy old  git ,lol ..

But in all serious National if they change some of their policy's and thought about the consequences of their actions in the light of day, maybe even listen to public and ran the middle ground . No I dont want to see Labor nor do  i like who we have in their present form and make up ..So where to next year ? Interesting especially if National go into a power struggle with leaders

So Judith has seen the writing on the wall and wants to keep a ministerial position so has pulled out. By the end of tomorrow I expect Coleman will have withdrawn as well and Bill will go in unopposed.

Which will just leave Paula to beat Simon for deputy.

I think in another few years Bennett will make a good PM. I think she was very wise in not entering the PM race but saying she was keen on the deputy but that the caucus would decide. Diplomacy right from the start, not confrontation.

Well that happened quicker than I thought, Coleman has pulled out as well.

Pretty much says English can choose his deputy now I think, probably Bennett I expect.
