MAF dont have a limit on any of the game fish.
i would not like to bring back anymore than 20 other fish as they just might call them fin-fish which has a total combination of 20....

well after reading their site which is not up to date....
it reads
No daily bag limit applies to the following finfish:

piper
Pilchard
Yellow eyed mullet
All others
which i presume means game fish as well...

Blue noise i think has been but in the quota system now, and which has a limit of 3per person,
but the MAF site still say 20per day which i am sure is outa date...

Thanks for everything you did for us Eric. may you rest in peace, You were one of the real legends of NZ recreational fishing

I thought bluenose were always in the fin-fish limit. If not that, then in the hapuka limit?

bluenose were always in the 20 finfish limit as far as I know.  I think it is being dropped to 5.  5 is plenty anyway.

Not sure about the skippies.  Don't bother loading up the freezer anymore because fish softbaits most of the time now.

Skippies not listed as part of the 20 limit, so no limit, take as many as you need (note I said need, not want Wink, can't really see anyone needing more than 20 anyway).
